Race Info
The Free State Trail Run is a looped trail race held each October near Meriden and Ozawkie, Kansas, starting from the Delaware Trailhead of the Perry Lake mountain bike trail system. Runners repeat a 6.75-mile singletrack loop through hardwood forest with roughly 750 feet of climbing and descent per lap on rocky, technical terrain. Four distances share the same course and 8:00 AM start: a quarter marathon (one loop), half marathon (two loops), marathon (four loops), and 40-mile race (six loops).
