2026 Boston Marathon Qualifying Times Fastest Since 1986
/All age groups and divisions now have to run 5 minutes faster to qualify for 2026
The Boston Athletic Association has tightened the qualifying times for the 2026 Boston Marathon after a record number of registrations for 2025 under the current standards. Each division will now have to run 5 minutes faster for ages up to 60 to achieve that coveted BQ, in the hopes that the cutoff (or bubble) time is a little easier to digest next year. The cutoff for 2024 has yet to be announced.
Here are the qualifying standards for the 2026 Boston Marathon (the last time they were this low was 1986 when they were actually five minutes faster than even these times)
