Tree House Brewing Half Marathon Details Announced
/The Inaugural Tree House Brewing Half Marathon Is This Weekend
More details have been published for this weekend’s inaugural Tree House Brewing Half marathon held at their Deerfield, MA location.
Tree House Half Course Preview
This scenic course out in western Massachusetts toys with the elevation of Mount Sugarloaf resulting in a beautiful but somewhat difficult course with rolling hills throughout. The most challenging part of the race will be an incline that starts just before mile 11 and rises 100ft over the course of a mile. Once runners crest that hill, it’s a steep downhill, losing half that elevation and then a straight level shot back to the brewery for the final mile.
Tree House Half Marathon Weather
Weather has been a bit unpredictable in New England this season and this upcoming Sunday is no different. We’re looking at elevated temps for this time of year, with a race start of 58º creeping up towards 65º by the time the mid-course cutoff happens at 10:01. Luckily the dew point will stay under 60ºF to keep runners cool as the inevitable sweat evaporates.
Good news is that there shouldn’t be any rain this weekend after the pounding that came from the storms passing through earlier in the week. Then again… it’s New England…
