Race Info
Back Your Badge Marathon is a premier race event sponsored by the Town of Plainfield, Indiana to show support all Public Safety Agencies. Police, Fire, and Communications have all made a commitment to the health and wellness of their personnel. Join us in supporting Public Safety with at the First Annual Back Your Badge Marathon. The race features, 5k (3.1 Miles), ½ Marathon (13.1 Miles) and Full Marathon distances (26.2 Miles). The course travels a mix of everything the town has to offer. Run historic US 40, Plainfield Parks Trail System (paved trails), and run by or through your local police station, fire station and communications center. You pick the agency you support, and each mile you run, or walk will be added to their running total. The agency with most total miles will earn the bragging rights and traveling trophy. All proceeds will directly benefit Public Safety Beneficent programs, Local Youth Assistance programs and a Paramedic Scholarship program. Source
