The Bemidji Blue Ox Marathon offers runners a scenic 26.2-mile course that combines urban streets with picturesque trails along Lake Bemidji and through Lake Bemidji State Park. The route is mostly flat, featuring a total elevation gain of approximately 300 feet, and is entirely on paved roads and trails. Runners are treated to views of iconic landmarks, including the Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues, and the course is certified by the USATF, making it a Boston Marathon qualifier.
