The Canterbury Half Marathon takes place in Pegasus Town, a planned community about 25 kilometers north of Christchurch in the Waimakariri District of New Zealand. The course circles Lake Pegasus on flat lakeside walkways, offering a fast, World Athletics-certified route. The event also serves as the Canterbury Athletics Half Marathon Championship and includes a 9km run/walk and a 2.5km Kidz Dash.
