Freedoms Run Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start, warming trend ahead
Runners will face a temperature increase from 53°F at the start to a peak of 69°F. With a max wind of 9 mph from the S, conditions will remain dry and moderate humidity at 67% suggests a need for hydration. Adjusting pace early to account for the warming trend is advisable for optimal performance.
The Freedom's Run was created by Dr. Mark Cucuzzella and Lois Turco to promote a healthier lifestyle in what is known as one of the most unhealthy states in the country. In the 10+ years since the race's inception, Freedom's Run has created a running boom through our small region and provided locals with a way to keep active and showcase our beautiful region. Through the Freedom's Run Grant, we've been able to donate over $400,00 to providing our community with local trails at their schools and youth and adult camps. So come join us and be a part of the West Virginia Running Revolution! Source
