Race Info
For 2026, both the Marathon and Half Marathon moved to new out-and-back courses starting and finishing in downtown Marlinton, WV, on the scenic Greenbrier River Trail (GRT) in Pocahontas County. Both start on First Avenue in Marlinton before heading onto the trail. The Half Marathon (13.1 miles) turns around at 6.55 miles with about 80 feet of elevation gain. The Marathon (26.2 miles) continues north through Sharp's Tunnel to a turnaround at 13.1 miles, crossing the tunnel twice, with about 160 feet of total elevation gain.
