Madison Marathon (MT)
Race Day Weather
Comfortable temps, big temp swing
Mild 57°F temps at gun time mean comfortable early miles without overheating risk. Temps will climb significantly to 80°F by later miles, so expect fading conditions as the race progresses. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.

Race Info
High-altitude gravel marathon on Gravelly Range Road near Ennis, Montana, run entirely above 8,500 feet. The full marathon is an out-and-back that climbs to about 9,600 feet before finishing at Clover Meadows; the half marathon covers the same route point to point. Long promoted as the highest road marathon on the planet, though newer high-altitude races elsewhere have since challenged that claim. Capped at 150 runners under a US Forest Service special-use permit.
