Marathon Duchesnay-Quebec
Race Day Weather
Cold start — layer up
Runners will start in chilly 39°F conditions — dress in layers for the corral and plan to shed early. Temperatures rising to 48°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 73% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
Marathon Duchesnay-Quebec is a point-to-point marathon that starts at the Station Touristique Duchesnay in Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier and finishes at Canadian Forces Base Valcartier, about 30 kilometers northwest of downtown Quebec City. The route follows the Veloroute Jacques-Cartier/Portneuf multi-use trail, mostly on packed stone dust through forest, and is certified by World Athletics. The race debuted in 2024 as a half-marathon-only event, the Demi-Marathon Duchesnay-Quebec, and added the full 42.2K marathon distance in 2025. It is a separate event from the Quebec City Marathon, which runs about three weeks earlier through Old Quebec, Montcalm, and Limoilou.
