Muddy River Marathon
Race Day Weather
Warming trend, moderate wind
Runners will face a temperature increase from 57°F at the start, peaking at 72°F. With a max wind of 12 mph from the SSW, it may create a headwind in some stretches. Given the humidity at 69%, adjusting pacing and increasing hydration is crucial to maintain performance.
The course highlights many landmarks in Cape Girardeau including the Bill Emerson Bridge, Common Pleas Courthouse, Dalhousie Golf Course, Old St. Vincent's Church and more, as well as finishing along the Missouri Wall of Fame Mural. The course is relatively flat utilizing roadways and paved trails. We hope you will spend the evening in Cape and celebrate your accomplishment. Proceeds benefit local non-profits who work to improve the health and wellbeing of those living in the region. Thanks to our sponsors and participants, we have been able to give over $70,000 to local non-profit's since the Muddy River Marathon's inception. In our fourth year we plan to continue expanding the beneficiaries around Southeast Missouri. Source
