New England Green River Marathon
Race Day Weather
Warm conditions, adjust pacing early
Runners will face temperatures starting at 64°F and rising to 78°F, with high humidity at 89%. Light winds from the SE will shift to a tailwind at the end, but headwinds will challenge runners from miles 2 through 25. Given the heat and humidity, a conservative start is advised, especially in the early miles, with hydration breaks every couple of miles to maintain performance.

Race Info
The New England Green River Marathon is one of the most beautiful races in New England. Starting in Marlboro, Vermont and following the course of the Green River through an 1870’s covered bridge, and ending with a finish-line celebration in the shade of maple trees at Greenfield Community College in Massachusetts. This USATF-certified (Certification MA18003JK) course has a net 1,400 foot drop over a rolling, downhill course that has seen many personal best and Boston qualifying times for well-trained runners.
