Runners will face a temperature increase from 43°F at the start to 65°F by the finish, with humidity at a comfortable 40%. Light tailwinds will assist from miles 1-5, but expect crosswinds during the middle segments. With the cooler start, runners should maintain their pace early and consider hydration strategies as temperatures rise; the descent from miles 2 to 4 will be advantageous.

Race Info
The Phoenix Marathon is held in December in Phoenix, Arizona. The course starts at South Mountain Park Visitor Center, heads north on Central Avenue, follows the Salt River trail, and passes the Arizona State Capitol and Hance Park before finishing at Steele Indian School Park. A half marathon, 10 Miler and 5K run the same weekend. Runners who qualify for Boston can collect a free BQ luggage tag at the results tent. Source
