Rehoboth Beach Marathon
Race Day Weather
Chilly start, headwinds early
Runners will face cool temperatures starting at 47°F, only rising to 48°F by the finish. A steady headwind will challenge participants through miles 1, 3-4, 6-8, and 20-22, while a tailwind will offer relief from miles 13-14 and 16-17. With humidity at 69%, pacing adjustments will be crucial, especially in the early miles. A light layer may be beneficial before the race due to the low feels-like temperature.

Race Info
The Rehoboth Beach Seashore Marathon runs each December in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, pairing a full marathon with a half marathon on a flat, certified Boston-qualifying course. The route starts at the Bandstand on Rehoboth Avenue, crosses onto the Boardwalk, and heads north through Cape Henlopen State Park on the Gordons Pond Trail before the marathon turns around near the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal in Lewes. Both races finish on 4th Street behind Rehoboth Beach Running Co. Seashore Striders, a local running club, organizes the race, which has run most years since 2008 aside from a pandemic-related gap in 2020.
