Race Info
The Scenic Marathon Nakhon Phanom is run along the Mekong River waterfront in Nakhon Phanom, in northeastern Thailand, starting and finishing at the Saeng Sing Kaeo plaza beside Sawan Chai Khong Road. The marathon is two out-and-back legs along the riverside road, one south of the start and one north of it, with the Lao bank across the river. It starts at 3:30 AM, ahead of the half marathon at 5:00 AM, and is part of the Scenic Marathon Series, whose half marathons carry World Athletics Road Race Label status. The 2026 edition is the second and adds the full marathon to a weekend that offered a half marathon and 10K in 2025.
