Texas Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool temps, manageable winds
Runners will face a temperature trend starting at 51°F and reaching 59°F by race end. With max winds at 10 mph from the NNE, conditions remain comfortable, though runners should expect crosswinds throughout. Given the humidity at 65%, pacing adjustments may be necessary to maintain energy levels, especially in the later laps as temperatures rise. Hydration should be prioritized as the race progresses.

Race Info
The Texas Marathon kicks off every New Year's Day, covering four loops on Kingwood's shaded concrete greenbelt trails. It starts and ends at St. Martha Catholic School, and you get to run by Kingwood Lake with only mild elevation changes, maxing out at 72 feet. It's a Boston qualifier, and after crossing the finish, runners get some quirky, oversized medals and enjoy a pizza picnic.
