Race Info
The Battleship Half Marathon starts and finishes at Water Street Park in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. The route crosses the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge and other area bridges, then loops onto USS North Carolina Road and the SECU Memorial Walkway around miles two and three for a pass by the Battleship North Carolina Memorial, a loop brought back for 2026 after being dropped since 2019. The course continues to Greenfield Lake via the Greenway trail before retracing the final 1.5 miles back to the finish. The 10K follows the same route but turns around near Greenfield Street, skipping the lake loop, while the 5K stays on the downtown side of the river along the Riverwalk with views of the battleship. The race includes wheelchair/duo-team and guided visually-impaired divisions, and part of each entry fee supports upkeep of the battleship's SECU Memorial Walkway.
