Race Day Weather
Cool start, warming finish
Runners will face a temperature increase from 52°F at the start to 68°F by the finish, with average humidity at 75%. Light headwinds in the first five miles could challenge pacing, while a tailwind from miles 6-10 will aid runners. It is advisable to start conservatively and hydrate frequently, especially as temperatures rise, particularly during the descent from mile 15 to 26.

Race Info
The Cascade Express Marathon and Half Marathon run point-to-point on the Palouse to Cascades Trail, starting at Hyak Trailhead near Snoqualmie Pass and descending through the Cascade Mountains past Keechelus Lake to North Bend. The half marathon enters the historic 2.4-mile Snoqualmie Tunnel about half a mile after the start. The marathon's net elevation loss is kept under 1,500 feet so no Boston Marathon downhill time penalty applies. Both distances are USATF-certified and organized by Run Super Series. Source
