Race Info

The Montana Marathon is a point-to-point road race that starts in the small town of Molt and finishes at Pioneer Park in downtown Billings, descending an advertised 1,000 feet along the way. The route crosses through the Yellowstone Country Club and the Heritage Trail System, including a tunnel under Shiloh Road, before turning onto Parkhill Drive for the finish near Daylis Stadium. First run in 1981, it is one of the oldest road races in Montana and was known for years as the Queen Bee Montana Marathon. It is now organized by the 406 Race Series and run each September alongside half marathon, 10K, and 5K events, with marathon runners shuttled to the Molt start before sunrise.
