Race Info
REVEL Big Bear is a point-to-point downhill road race in the San Bernardino National Forest, starting near Sugarloaf Mountain outside Big Bear and finishing at Redlands Sports Park in Redlands, California. The marathon drops about 4,200 feet over 26.2 miles through Angelus Oaks and Mountain Home Village on paved roads and is USATF certified as a Boston Marathon qualifying course; the half marathon starts lower, at Forest Falls, with a comparable downhill grade. The race runs in November, though the full marathon was called off in both 2024 and 2025 for unsafe upper-course road conditions, with only the half marathon held those years. Source
