Race Info
This is an extremely challenging, highly technical trail race that starts and finishes at Timpanogos Park. The marathon course is 99.9% mountain trail and fire break roads, featuring a grueling 5,883 feet of elevation gain. The organizers advise runners to treat this like an ultra-distance race: there are no mile markers, spectators, directional volunteers, or porta-johns on the course.
Runners can expect rocky, technical ascents and descents, as well as potential stream crossings, mud, or even snow. Because of the difficulty, they note that a runner who typically finishes a road marathon in 3:30 should expect to take 5 to 6 hours on this course.
