Runners will face a temperature range of 39°F to 52°F, with a light crosswind in the first mile shifting to a helpful tailwind from miles 2 and 9 to 13. With average humidity at 59%, conditions are generally favorable for performance. The tailwind during the latter miles should assist pacing, while the cooler temperatures allow runners to maintain their speed without overheating.

Race Info
The Hillbilly Hike is a point-to-point half marathon, 10K, and 5K held each November on the Summerset Trail between Indianola and Carlisle, Iowa. The half marathon starts in Indianola and finishes in Carlisle on paved former rail trail with a gradual downhill grade. Thrive Church's Mission Team organizes the race, and proceeds from the 10K and half marathon fund the church's mission trips. The Greubel Memorial 5K, added in 2017, honors three children's parents who died that year, with proceeds going toward the children's scholarships.
