The Istanbul Marathon is an annual marathon held in Istanbul, Turkey, each November. It is the only marathon in the world whose 42.2 km course spans two continents, crossing the Bosphorus Bridge (officially the 15 July Martyrs Bridge) from the Asian side of the city to the European side, finishing at Sultanahmet Meydani near the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque.
