Moab Trail Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, big temp swing
A cool 43°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temps will climb significantly to 61°F by later miles, so expect fading conditions as the race progresses. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.

Race Info
The Moab Trail Marathon runs through Kane Creek Canyon and the Behind the Rocks Wilderness outside Moab, Utah, each November. Marathon and half marathon runners share the first 9.7 miles of singletrack and slickrock before splitting,, with views of the La Sal Mountains and the Colorado River corridor (the ladder-assisted slot-canyon climb is a feature of the companion 10K/Kids K courses, not the marathon/half route). The 2026 half marathon serves as the USATF Trail Half Marathon National Championship and the Collegiate Trail Running Championship. Source
