Marabana Marathon
Race Day Weather
Warm start, warming through the race
A warm 71°F start means heat management is critical — consider dialing back your goal pace by 10-20 sec/mi. Temperatures rising to 82°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 74% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
Marabana is Havana's annual marathon, first held in 1987 and organized by Cuba's national sports institute, INDER, with Spain-based RPM Racing handling international registration. The marathon covers two laps of a loop course starting and finishing at the Ramon Fonts sports complex on Avenida Independencia near Plaza de la Revolucion, passing along the Malecon seafront and through Vedado and Centro Habana. It runs on the third Sunday of November alongside half marathon and 10K races held the same morning, and the 2026 edition marks its 40th anniversary.
